Birds

When I hear a bird, the first time I am taken by its presence and its announcement. I dont think either of the party ever stopped long enough for a chance of parley. So however exciting a thought of bird might be, it seems a diminshed experience that each time we only get to the same point of ... oh its a bird and its somewhere close by. When I read of this beautiful thing that T Jefferson saw on the canal of Languedoc ..'row of nightingales in full chorus'..thats so unlikely that we will come across it.. so much that I will never imagine it.. but what about birds in number? the way they swoop in the evening.. making you drop every thought and gawk at them.

Wright

Thomas Jefferson went to Shakespeare's Stratford more than 200 years ago. If he could have guessed about the controversy of the playwright, we could have known something for sure.

After many days

Muleteer sounds so posh. I know Cooper as a surname, and expected it to have something to do with bird cages. I was left surprised.
