Spanish for the day

Went to a Mexican restaurant today for lunch. Its called 'Abuelos', spanish for Grandparents. The menu has black/grey pictures with just one entity in color. That option leaves a huge ground open for concentrating on any one theme in a general picture.

I was reading a magazine called "Latino perspectives". The words that took my fancy...
puerto -port
mujeres - women
teatro - theater
maquiladora - bonded assembly plant
stelae - An upright stone or slab with an inscribed or sculptured surface, used as a monument or as a commemorative tablet in the face of a building.
cuando - when
camarones-shrimp
barrio - neighborhood
lobos - wolves
burg - city or town

ever been on a committee. I am on two of them. For one, I attended a meeting. the other still hasnt decided to get together. I am done with half of the tenure. lets see if the other half is brighter. Judy Castrina's famous quote goes..

"A committee takes hours to put into minutes what can be done in seconds."
